Welcome to Briarfields

Guests staying at The Briarfields seem to have one thing in common, they all love Charlies' breakfasts!  

The menu he has created includes some fabulous choices, from Avocado on Sourdough to Brioche, French Toast: Corned Beef Hash Cake to a Smoked Salmon Bagel, there is plenty to choose from.  Of course you can still get the ubiquitous Full English but Charlie being Charlie (and hailing from Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides), has added a wee twist to his.  Guests at The Briarfields can opt for something a bit special in the form of a Full English with a Scottish Accent, using the world famous, Stornoway Black Pudding.

Whilst most of the ingredients used are local, such as the tasty sausages and bacon from Prentice Butchers in Torquay, wonderful fresh farm eggs from Black Dog Eggs in Crediton, it is safe to say the Black Pudding, supplied by Willie John, of WJ MacDonald Ltd, is not,  It's proving to be a very popular choice so it comes in handy to have that home town connection when more are needed.
