Stunning
Our stay could not be faulted, from the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted, shown our rooms, given advice and provided with the menu for breakfast. Flexibility was the order of the day, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean, modern and very presentable. We had just come from a fully five star hotel and clearly this is or deserves a five star rating as a B&B. The breakfast was just to die for , Charlie is clearly classically trained but provides his own twist, be adventurous try something new you will not be disappointed. My friend was unfortunately unwell during our stay and the land lady did everything she could to help make her stay as comfortable as possible. Incredible, highly recommended.

Highly recommended B&B
I had a great stay at Briarfields. The room was clean and warm. Julie-Anne and Charlie were very friendly. They have an EV charger which was useful. Breakfast was lovely as Charlie is a professional chef! A short walk to the seafront. Overall I would highly recommend it.

A warm welcome from Julia and Charlie, we are always made to feel at home when ever we stay.Rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious. Comfy and warm. Breakfast hearty and amazing, with plenty to eat. Thank you both, hope to see you in a few months. We definately recommend if you are looking for a B&B in Torquay!

Booking Terms and Conditions
Reservations are generally accepted for any number of nights although minimum night restrictions may apply.Published offers cannot be used in conjunction with each other or with any other promotion or discount unless otherwise stated.

Pricing and Payment – Standard Booking

A deposit or prepayment for the first night of the stay may be taken when the booking is made. We accept payment by cash or credit/debit car. Unfortunately we do not accept personal cheques. All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling. It is important to read the terms and conditions of the reservation as policies (including cancellation) may differ.

Cancellations should be made with The Briarfields either by telephone or email via info@briarfields.co.uk

All bookings made are subject to these terms and conditions:

All cancellations advisedbefore 7 days or more before the check-in date can be done so free of charge and any deposit refunded.

If your booking is cancelled between 2 to 6 days (inclusive) of the date of arrival, the cost of the first night of thebooking will be charged (or the deposit kept).

If your booking is cancelled 24 hours before check-in, or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Days are counted from midnight from the day of arrival.

The above terms and conditions of cancellation will not apply if the property is closed due to government action as a result of a resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic. In those circumstances guests may cancel their booking with no penalty.

Arrival and Departure

Check in is from 2.30pm to 7.00pm. Earlier check ins are available subject to room availability. If you require a late check-in please call us in advance. If you are delayed please give us a call and we can arrange for a late check-in.

Departure time is before 10.30am on your last day. Late check-outs may be arranged before departure.

Children

The Briarfields is an adult only establishment and we do not take children or infants under the age of 16 years old we reserve the right to refuse accommodation in this instance.

Pets

Please be advised that guest pets are not permitted in any part of the building.

Other Information

For the comfort of our guests, the eating of ‘fast food’ or ‘takeaway meals’ in any of our bedrooms is strictly prohibited. Should you be found to be consuming such foods in thebedroom we may levy a deep cleaning charge equivalent to £100.00 in addition to any accommodation charges already agreed, AND we will ask you to leave the property.Should you wish to order fast food or a take away please contact us and we will arrange to set a table up for you in the dining room (breakfast room).

Reasonable Usage

As The Briarfields is an old property some sound does travel and we ask that you respect the enjoyment of other guests. In extreme circumstances we reserve the right to terminate a booking for unacceptable conduct. We reserve the right to refuse bookings for large single sex groups; under 21’s or Hen/Stag parties.

Liability

Other than for death or personal injury causes by our negligence or misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and to the fullest extent permitted by law all warranties are excluded and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.

We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for any damage or loss causes to us or our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.

Guests park their cars in our car park at their own risk. The Briarfields will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur while parked in the car park.
